2024, in Review
We have been very busy in 2024, from exhibiting at trade shows to forming new partnerships and supporting businesses large and small with their battery management programmes. Thank you to everyone for your support over the last year, we look forward to a successful 2025!
So, what did we get up to in 2024?
New ROBIS Customer Battery Diagnostic Report Launched
To start off the year, we launched a brand new feature for ROBIS (Rotronics Online Battery Information System). From working extensively with our aftermarket customers, we know that explaining why essential battery maintenance is necessary to customers can be challenging. This is due to many people being unaware of the range of issues a faulty 12V battery could cause. Our customer diagnostic report uses an easy to understand traffic light system to show overall battery health, cranking health and uniquely, reserve capacity health, each explained in layman terms and with a recommendation for an action to be taken if required.
ROBIS’ Customer Diagnostic Report has been Well received with a high uptake amongst aftermarket ROBIS enabled workshops, helping them to drive revenue, profitability and customer service.
Trade Shows
Trade shows are a great place for us to interact with existing and prospective customers and to introduce them to our innovative battery management equipment and programmes. This year we attended 3 trade shows. In June we attended the UK Garage & Bodyshop Show in the NEC in Birmingham In September we attended Automechanika in Frankfurt with partner Midtronics showing off the latest innovations in EV and 12V battery testing and diagnostics. Most recently we exhibited at Mechanex in Sandown presenting existing and new product innovations from the leading testing and charging brands including Midtronics, CTEK, Traction and DEFA
NEW Products
This year we announced 3 brand new products that are set to transform how you service vehicle batteries. We announced the launch of a brand new battery tester from Midtronics. The latest handheld testing technology MVT is a rapid and highly accurate battery tester that uses Midtronics MDX AI™ to accurately determine battery health without requiring a technician to enter any information about the battery. Already adopted by a leading roadside recovery organisation we are now introducing MVT and its unique features to the wider automotive aftermarket.
In November at Mechanex, we announced two new Midtronics EV maintenance products that will be launching in 2025, xMB-9640 & xLVS-9000. The xLVS-9000 is an advanced 12V EV auxiliary battery tester and maintainer, with ability to determine remaining battery capacity and then automatically charge batteries without needing a separate tester and charger.
xMB-9640 is an innovative EV Module Balancer which is available to the aftermarket sector. Enabling workshops to safely and easily service the propulsion EV pack is a major breakthrough and answers a long held concern about how they will be able to service this ‘new’ vehicle type. xMB-9640 and xLVS-9000 will be available in in 2025 for our customers.

Showroom Trial Carried Out
New Vehicles in showrooms – EV as well as ICE often face difficulties when it comes to 12V battery reliability. If left unmaintained 12V batteries will discharge and vehicles will not be able to be demonstrated possibly losing a valuable sale. We have worked with a range of new car showrooms to demonstrate how simple solutions can make a big difference. After following our advice and installing charging and monitoring equipment from our partners, they reported that they didn’t have a single vehicle fail since the trials started. A great success!
